There is something distinct about every city and town in Morocco. The country holds a richness that reveals itself in many different ways. Alhamdulillah, I’ve been fortunate enough to explore different parts of Morocco, yet there is still so much left to discover. Merzouga, Essaouira and the Sahara remain among the places I hope to visit. This collection brings together moments and details observed along the way — glimpses of a country whose beauty extends far beyond what first meets the eye.

Despite not being Spanish myself, identity has a funny way of belonging to more than one place at once. Over time, it has come to feel like a second home — a place I’m drawn to for its culture, language, and the richness of its islamic history. Spain’s history reflects centuries of cultural exchange, shaped by the many peoples and traditions that have called the peninsula home. Its Islamic heritage, in particular, remains visible in its architecture, intricate geometric patterns, and ornamental detail. From Córdoba to Toledo and Granada, traces of Al-Andalus offer glimpses into a remarkable chapter of history, art, and design.

Often referred to as Umm al-Dunyā, meaning “Mother of the World”, Egypt is a land rich in history, culture and remarkable landscapes. Visiting Egypt remains one of the most memorable experiences of my life. I had the opportunity to travel there as part of a university trip, and Alhamdulillah in just five days we managed to see so much in such a short space of time. From its ancient monuments to the vastness of its surrounding landscapes, there was so much to take in. I hope to return again one day, Insha’Allah. And even if I never do, I remain deeply grateful for the time I was given there, and for the memories I brought home.
